I have had the great pleasure over the past few months to work with Susana Martinez and Emilio Mula to create a new short film about oral history and Transition. It emerged from the oral histories we did in preparing the Totnes EDAP, interviewing some of those people in more depth. The resultant film, premiered on Thursday night in Totnes, is one I very much hope you enjoy.
Had a great time yesterday on the webinar call thing to Transition US. It lasted about 75 minutes and we covered lots of things. We’ll be doing it again in September but for now, click here to hear the recording of the event. The very end is especially good, when you can hear lots of the callers saying goodbye… lovely that was… Thanks to everyone who organised it, especially Carl, Carolyne and Richard.
At my workshop at the Transition Network conference I tried out a new teaching tool for Transition initiatives, a deck of cards designed around the ‘Ingredients of Transition’, as set out in the forthcoming ‘The Transition Companion’. On one side of the cards is a photo that captures the spirit of the ingredient and its name, and on the other side is the problem the ingredient is a response to and the solution it represents.
