Transition BS3 in Bristol start their new allotment

Here’s a short little film, made as part of a forthcoming longer film called ‘The Journey’, capturing the early days of the Transition BS3 community allotment. Discovered on a rummage about on Vimeo and rather sweet.

I’m with Transition Westminster/Arvada/Broomfield in Colorado, USA. This woman is my twin, only I’m a guy. How can I contact her? Thanks! … dons

Nice production, and I saw the idea of bringing people together the woman in the video talks about while doing a consultation about enabling community food gardening for Bellingen Council and the Coffs Coast Food Alliance last week.

Our participatory site design day brought out a bunch of local people plus others from the city, including Coffs Harbour City Council, to the area proposed for the community garden in Coffs Harbour.

Bringing people together around the DIY approach to food is a tasty way to increase local, community self-reliance.
