2013 Lecture: Transition Towns by Rob Hopkins
Rob is co-founder of the Transition Network, which supports thousands of communities in becoming more resilient through increased local food, local enterprise and a range of other approaches, and of Transition Town Totnes. He is the author of The Transition Handbook and The Transition Companion and he speaks widely about the importance of local economies and of ‘engaged optimism’ as a response to the world’s challenges. He was recently voted one of ‘Britain’s 50 New Radicals’ and he blogs at www.transitionculture.org.
The lecture is organised by RTPI Scotland and supported by the Sir Patrick Geddes Memorial Trust and the Saltire Society. The lecture is kindly sponsored by Scottish Government and Architecture + Design Scotland. Information on booking tickets here.
