Well, when I saw all the sluggish commentary I got out my slug mug complete with slug crawling over the top. I went to our local library book sale and invested in a special $1 book on slug recipes. Slug-a-roni- stuffed slug, faux escargot, slug shake. I’m sure slug shakes are right up there with SNL’s Bass-O-Matic. It even suggested wine for the extravagant meal (brown bag something Mad Dog? or for kosher I supose Manishevitz). I took it (the book, the book!) to breakfast intending it to be given away, but it was so popular I lent it for a week. Then I remenisced about the Eugene festival that features a Slug Queen. In her first parade she dressed up in her finest slimery and oozed down the street to raudus cheers.
