Situation Vacant at Transition Penwith

penwithIt is not every day that paid jobs in Transition turn up, but today is one of those days.  Transition Penwith is looking for a Project Officer, with the closing date for applications being 11th May 2009.  Full details below:

Transition Penwith Project Officer: 10 hours per week

Salary: £20,527 p.a. pro rata

(The post is grant funded for 14 months and continuation beyond that date will be dependent on obtaining ongoing funding.)

Transition Penwith is a community group whose aims are to raise awareness, and set up projects to mitigate the impact of climate change and fossil fuel depletion in West Cornwall. The group is a part of the growing Transition Towns initiative.

Due to the current postholder’s departure, Transition Penwith is looking for a Project Officer to work two days per week assisting members of Transition Penwith to implement project ideas and run awareness raising events.

An understanding of the impact of climate change and fossil fuel depletion and support of Transition Penwith’s aims is essential.

The successful candidate would be able to demonstrate some project management skills and be familiar with Microsoft Windows and Office. Experience in managing websites and fund raising would be an advantage.
