Ah yes, George Monbiot quotes the Tipping Point theory...- I'll leave that for another time...

Then, to fight the phenomenon of climate change that has not surpassed its 1998 level - and has actually fallen, the Average family has to adopt these strategies....
Give up the cars - fair point, and even the idea of an integrated public transport system was put forward. Pity that the transport system is neither integrated nor publicly owned.
But then... Who sold it all off?
Give up meat and dairy (milk and cheese - [which comes from ruminants]) except for special "Sunday roast" occasions. Of course, cereals and veg can be grown much more economically than meat... except in the mountains of Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, etc. where crops cannot be grown or harvested. I'm sure the farmers will be OK though.
Give up tropical fruit - dash, no more bananas, oranges...
Get the grandfather to share the son's bedroom - seemingly grandfathers know all about vegetable garden management, and you couldn't have "the old man" living in his own house that he has striven for all his life; and teenagers allowed some privacy???
And get these people to go to Brittany instead of Spain - thus ruining holidays for those of us who enjoy not being in the place where the lager swilling "Brits Abroad" go.

No, not really a comedy, more of a farce
