&lt;p&gt;An event: &#039;The Great Re-filling&#039; local cider producers and brewers offer discounts for re-using bottles rather than industrial recycling.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&#039;Transition Tails&#039; great for us in Australia - Kangaroo tail soup. Recognising that our soft footed abundant friends are perhaps the most sustainable source of meat down here&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And...wait for it...really sorry about this one&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Energy Descent Action Spam!  A low energy version inspired by my Polish mother-in-law&#039;s stories of how they used to preserve cooked meat in jars so they didn&#039;t require refrigeration.&lt;/p&gt;
