Such a positive article and of course writing from the future makes it 'real'.</p> <p>It's my belief that one reason why so many people thing that hi-tech solutions will save us all is because they've seen the future on Star Trek, Star Wars et al. They know they'll have faster than light starships, warp drive, Earl Grey tea - hot!, transporter beams, (still no same sex-couples strangely ...), holodecks, ad nauseam. They know it's fiction, but it's so frequently presented on TV and on film that I reckon it's seeped into people's conciousness, not as a possible future, but THE future. So, in this case a report written from a different future is a great way to get that feeling of possibility on a different track.</p> Love it!
