[...] Therefore, rather than wondering, in a monolithic way “How will the world turn out? some of us will ask how we want it to turn out on our little patch of planet. We will engage in some of the fantastic work Transition Culture is doing in it’s Tranition Town Initiatives, or we will model our own. We will be quiet role models (see David and Sarah’s Passive Solar Energy Off The Grid Home- February 2, 2006) who create an energy independent household and let others come visit and film it.

hi rob,

thanks for posting the First Steps for Transition,
I'm in Lewes working with Adrienne Campbell and John Webber and the group (about 9 of us). We are having an all day facilitated session tomorrow to work through some questions on climate change/peak oil, are we ready? and whats our longer term, deeper visions? (well these are mine anyway). We're all trying to get as informed as possible.
I run environmental workshops (see www.movingsounds.org) and am currently making a video promo for the event addressing climate then oil. There'll be link to it on our website when it up, hopefully next week. It seems video is a powerful medium and now web friendly too.
Anyway, thanks for the guidance,
see you when you come to lewes
